Pasta with Tomatoes and Basil

  • 2 gloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 6 large tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 24 large basil leaves, torn into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 pound pasta
  • salt and pepper

Combine all ingredients except pasta in a large bowl. Let sit in a warm spot for at least 1 hour.

Note: If tomatoes are very juicy, let them bleed a little before mixing them with other ingredients, to prevent the sauce from being too soupy.

Cook pasta until al dente, drain, and mix with other ingredients.
